My Blue-Eyed Girl.....

Today's Graceful Expression.....

My beautiful blue-eyed girl. 
This is my youngest daughter, Kylee. She is 14.
She's the best surprise I've ever gotten.

When I look at her, I'm reminded how thankful I am
God has the plan for our lives and doesn't let us do it ourselves.

See, I had it all planned out.IT didn't include any more babies.

However, God in His infinite wisdom, had a much better plan prepared for me.

Even better than I could have ever thought or imagined for myself.

I often think of all the things I would have missed, had He listened to me and went with MY plan instead.

I'm thankful He's God. I'm thankful for His Plan.

I'm thankful for my blue-eyed girl.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us

It's a Hard Life.....

Today's Graceful Expression.....

I want to share with you the hard life of a college student.

My college student, to be more exact.

This picture is of my daughter, Haley, after a day of class.

From the looks of it, she really has it rough, though.

Seriously, she is in her first yearof college and is doing really well.

I am really proud of her.

She is going to be an Accountant.

She is a numbers nerd.

Of course, you know from #87 of the Random Fact List on my Gracie Blog, I don't mind.

Have You Seen This Girl?.....

Today's Graceful Expression.....

My 5 year-old Nephew, Hayden, was here yesterday.

He has the most vivid imagination.

Yesterday, he was a Policeman.

He drew the sketch on the left and came to me and said,
"Do you recognize this girl?, Have you seen her anywhere?"

I said "No, Officer, who is that?"

He said it was my 14 year-old Daughter, Kylee.

Cracked. Me. Up.

I put the sketch he drew and a picture of Kylee side by side.

I could definitely see the resemblance.

Welcome to Graceful Expressions!

Our Fellow Blogger, Kelly, from Kelly's Korner recently had issues with someone she didn't know, taking photos of her children off her blog and using them without her knowledge or permission.

This disturbed me greatly.

I mean, really?

What a creep!

Thus began the debate across The Blogging World...make blog private vs. keep it public.

And, if not private, then what steps can we take to protect our pictures, especially those of the people most precious to us, our Families.

I am still off work, laying around, recovering from the surgery I had last week.

What that translates to is, I have plenty of time on my hands to explore ways to protect my pictures.

Although I didn't really want to, I decided watermarking would be the easiest and safest method for me to use.

As I was working to watermark some of them, I was trying to decide what to watermark them with.

Graceful Expressions was born.

I know some of you are asking how and why 2 blogs?

I just thought it would be a good place to put some of my pictures.

My plan is to update very frequently.

It may be as simple a just a picture and who knows what else.

I should add that by NO means am I a professional photographer. I'm not even a photographer.

I do have a good camera but I don't even fully know how it works.

I never read the user manual.

What I am is a girl who loves to take pictures.

Like, REALLY loves to take pictures.
